Tours of the 12th Flying Training Wing are provided to various community organizations, high schools, businesses, and academic military recruitment programs to educate their members about the 12th FTW mission.
Due to the high volume of requests and limited public affairs resources, tours and static displays must be limited.
- All requests must be submitted in writing to 12th FTW Public Affairs at 12ftw.pa.1@us.af.mil at least three weeks but no more than six weeks in advance. Confirmation of tours will be provided no sooner than three weeks from the event, but no later than two weeks.
- Tours are available on Wednesdays and Thursdays and will be no longer than three hours in duration and include no more than three stops.
- The 12th FTW hosts one tour a month. In the event of multiple requests, tour requests will be evaluated for their impact to public affairs goals of spreading awareness and knowledge of the Air Force to new audiences.
- Tours are not offered on weekends.
- All tours may be canceled at any time due to increased security measures or to meet mission requirements.
- The 12th FTW does not host tours of Randolph Air Force Base, to schedule a tour of Randolph, please contact Randolph Public Affairs at public.affairs@us.af.mil.
- If desired, requestors must arrange all meals. PA will provide contact information to base eateries.
Tour requirements include:
- All participants must be at least 13 years old or 7th grade.
- Tours are limited to a minimum of 10 and maximum of 25 people. Requests to split tours for larger groups will typically not be accommodated.
- Modified tours will be granted for those with limited mobility - this must be stated on the tour request. If not stated, it is assumed that mobility is not an issue.
