U.S. Navy Blue Angels to headline Randolph Air Show
RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas - The skies over San Antonio will be filled with thunder when Randolph AFB hosts a free air show THIS SATURDAY AND SUNDAY!
All are invited to this year's jam-packed show, featuring exciting and diverse military and civilian aircraft, with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels headlining both days.
The schedule for both days is:
· 9 a.m. Gates Open to the public
· 10 a.m. Opening ceremonies
· 11:10 a.m. Composite Fly By
· 11:35 a.m. British Hawk Demo
· 11:50 a.m. Kent Pietsch and Interstate Cadet
· Noon Doc Winter (P-51)
· 12:15 p.m. Jason Newburg / Aerobatics Demo
· 12:30 p.m. Vietnam Show
· 12:45 p.m. Randy Ball (Mig-17)
· 1 p.m. Cartop landing
· 1:15 p.m. John Klatt / Aerobatics Demo
· 1:30 p.m. Dead Stick Demo
· 1:40 p.m. F-16 "Viper East Demo" and Heritage Flight
· 2:10 p.m. Tim Weber / Aerobatics Demo
· 2:30 p.m. U.S. Navy Blue Angels
· 3:30 p.m. Gates close to the public
· 5 p.m. Air Show ends
Other performers will include: United States Air Force Academy Wings of Blue, a T-6 four-ship formation, an F-4D Phantom demonstration, and a composite from the 12th Flying Training Wing from Randolph, to name only a few. There will also be a Vietnam re-enactment to include an F-4, A-4, O-2, AC-47, UH-1 and A-26.
There will be Security Forces Military Working Dog demostrations at 1100 and 1400 both days.
Static displays will include: B-29 "Fifi," B-24, B-17, B-25 Yellow Rose, C-17 Globemaster III, CV-22 Osprey, F-15C, A-10 Thunderbolt II, HH-60G Pave Hawk, HH-65, P-3, P-38 Glacier Girl, T-38C, U-11A and U-3, plus many more.
Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, Texas State Guard and Coast Guard will also be present to display their service unique assets.
This year's air show will include a variety of children's inflatables, aircraft simulators, military recruiters and informational display booths. Food, beverages and merchandise will also be available for purchase, and a nominal fee will also be charged for some children's activities.
Attendees without DoD ID cards must enter through the East Gate off of Farm Market 78, South Gate on Lower Seguin Road or from FM 1518. ID card holders will be able to access the base through the main gate located off of FM 78 and Pat Booker Road.
Visitors are prohibited from bringing concealed weapons, ice chests, backpacks, large bags, alcohol, skates and skateboards. These items must be left in the vehicle. Camera bags, diaper bags, purses, strollers and lawn chair canvas carriers will be authorized but will be hand searched before entry is granted.
Please ensure you bring proper hearing protection as this event will be very loud! Also, lock, but please do not alarm your vehicles, the sound of low flying aircraft will engage car alarms disrupting guests and our parking attendants.
There will be two rows of handicap parking available on a first-come first-serve basis. Upon entering the parking area, Security Forces or parking assistant personnel can direct visitors who require handicap parking. There is also a handicap drop off permitted near the entrance to the air show area. Handicap seating will be located along the west ramp.

Security
Security is Randolph's No.1 priority. Visitors are prohibited from bringing concealed weapons, ice chests, backpacks, large bags, alcohol, skates, and skateboards. These items must be left in the vehicle.

Pets, with the exception of assistance or guide dogs, will not be allowed at this event.
Please bring your own hearing protection as this event will be loud.
Handicap Access/Parking
There will be approximately two rows of handicap parking available on a first come first serve basis. Once you have entered the parking area, please ask Security Forces or parking assistant personnel how to locate the handicap parking area. If needed, you may also be dropped off at the entrance to the air show area. Look for handicap seating along the west ramp.
